In response to current CDC recommendations, Minuteman Press will be making the following temporary adjustments:
• Our lobby hours are 8:30 am to 3pm. We will continue to be flexible as our customers demand changes.*
• 50% deposit on all jobs submitted, with the balance due upon receipt.**Certain Charge Customer Excepted.
• Our website, Galveston.minutemanpress.com, is open 24/7 for placing orders, requesting quotes and designing business cards etc., or as usual you may call or email the office.
• We are still making deliveries in the immediate local area, and will either deliver to your outside door, or will place your packages directly inside of your entry door. Again, this is for your safety, as well as that of our drivers, as we all try to navigate this unknown territory that is the Covid-19 Pandemic.
• For your safety and protection, and that of our employees, both of our stores have a safety zone taped on the floor. This safety zone generally follows the accepted guidelines of a 6’ safe distance.
• For your convenience, we have made a provision, with the link below, for you to pay securely with your credit card. Of course, you can still just drop off a check or call in a credit card. https://paypal.me/minutemangalveston
• If you do not want to come into the store, we can place your packages outside the front door. Please let us know when you will arrive. Packages inside the store will be set aside either on the small table or just inside the front door.
• Our sincere hope is that, with these few simple steps, along with established CDC Guidelines for hand washing and cleaning surfaces, this virus will leave our community sooner, rather than later.

Minuteman Galveston News

Whether experienced or novice, local birders and photographers will be heading for the 18th annual four-day FeatherFest coming in mid-April.

Galveston Bay Foundation will be holding its Sounds of the Ocean festival in early March. The event has been organized to raise awareness for present and future oceans. All proceeds will go to preventing flooding in Galveston through constructing an ocean trash filter that will halt ocean pollution.

The 109th Galveston Mardi Gras will be taking over the city for 12 days in mid-February.

Two ballrooms here in Galveston will have formal galas in January - one at the beginning of the month and the other towards the end.

The Galveston Municipal Police Association will sponsor this years Christmas Parade.

Moody Gardens, at 1 Hope Boulevard, will be opening its 2019 Holiday Season in mid-November.

The 10 Annual Galveston Island Shrimp Festival will be two days of friends, music and shrimp to end the month.

The Galveston Sand Crab 5k and 10k will be a nighttime beach run coming in a couple weeks. There will be a Kid Mile also.

The Galveston Sand Crab 5k/10k Kids Beach Mile will be coming later in August. The courses for all three races will be run completely on sand at night. All races are chip-timed, including the kids event.

July 4th preparations are in progress for Galvestons 180s City of Galveston Independence Day Celebrations.
